I read in Milton Glaser’s retrospective book, Art is Work, that one of his biggest influences, especially in his ink drawings, has always been the french illustrator Felix Vallotton (1865 - 1925). It’s possible to see some of his works online, like in Olga’s Gallery, the Felix Vallotton Foundation or a dot.com site. Certainly, the influence in some of Glaser’s ink drawings is evident.
